Hello, my name is Zachary Mojica, also known as The Heartist Artist. For the longest time I have wanted to create a website for my portfolios.. But also, I wanted to give people a better sense of who I am, what I do, and where I came from.

To do this, I came up with the idea of a chronological portfolio.. one that takes you along for the ride, back in time, and to the present.

So without further interruption, here we go.. the story of me:

Art, drawing, scribbling, has always been there for me ever since I can remember. But it wasn’t until April 26, 2018, when my dad died of a heart attack, that I REALLY became obsessed with self-expression..

I knew I needed a distraction from my grief, my pain, and a way of coping that wasn’t harmful to my health. So to me, art was that answer.. but not just any art.. dots. Why? Because you can’t think if you’re too busy drawing dots..

And while I threw myself into the art of pointillism, I simultaneously grew an obsession with the heart.. adding it to any body of work I could.

Thus, The Heartist Artist was born.
